Drug Rehab Centers Across Europe

To give men hope is to serve god in the most profound way. Give water to the one parched in desert fire or blood to one gutted in frenzied fighting and you will have done your duty of serving god. The drug rehab centers are stretching the idea further. They are tending to the people downtrodden by substance abuse and bringing fresh hopes into their lives. At the outset, it seems like a cold professional process but brining back hope to a person is never a heartless enterprise. Those who cannot recover of the own are being taken by the drug rehab centers of Europe. Here, they are being asked to confess about their delinquency. Once, the burden of confession is being lifted, the patients are being told to develop a cold resolve for beating the problem.

They are being guided by various psychotherapeutic lessons where they are suggested that the power comes from within. Assistance of all kinds is possible but the power has to come from within. Once the patients understand this, they are being asked to take up the medical treatment. It's different from psychoactive drug abuse and street drug abuse. The former warrants a complete cessation of drugs while the later asks for the principal of drug moderation.

Those patients who had fallen into the trap of opiate abuse are rendered the toughest line of medical treatment. They are being given drugs like methadone and buprenorphine apart from the psychotherapeutic lessons on the need to change their behavior. Slowly, the cognitive and perceptive ability lost to drugs, begin to surface again. At this point, a patient is ready to understand that recovery is possible. With this hope comes his desire to interact with a drug free society and be reintegrated with the social system that he was a part of.

One-to-one counseling, anger management classes, peer management and goal setting is all done over a video interface, all in an Out-Patient Rehab Center Setting. The patients are intelligent people just caught on the blinding side of a road show. But once they feel the trap weakening, they use their steel resolve to clear the mess. Today, the patients are being asked to live in a Sober House or a Halfway House for half a year. The idea there is to constantly monitor the patients prior to being released directly into the society.

Without this facility, the patients were left into the social mainstream directly after the completion of the European drug rehab therapies. Sometimes, delinquent elements caught up with them once they entered the society. This resulted in relapses. The Halfway Houses ensure that the patients get a period of 6 moths to reassess their resolve and then enter the society at large.
